This page is publicly accessible without signing in. It explains how to delete specific data — a trip, a booking, a document, or an expense — without deleting your whole Viajaro account. The page itself doesn’t delete anything; deletion can only be requested from inside the app, as described below. To delete your entire account instead, see our delete account page.

Delete a trip

  1. Open the trip you want to delete and go to Edit trip.
  2. Scroll to the Danger zone section and tap Delete trip.
  3. Confirm in the dialog: “«{trip name}» will move to trash for 30 days. You can restore it anytime from the Trips screen.” It also shows how many bookings and expenses are archived along with the itinerary, and if the trip has linked documents, a note that they’ll stay in your personal vault.
  4. Once confirmed, the trip moves to trash and you’ll see a “Trip moved to trash” confirmation.

If you’re a collaborator on a trip owned by someone else, you’ll see Leave trip instead of Delete trip — it only removes your own access and doesn’t delete anything from the trip.

Manage your trip trash, or purge a trip instantly

On the main Trips screen, a discreet link at the bottom — “Trash · N trips” — opens the Trip trash screen whenever you have trips pending deletion. Each trip there shows a countdown and two actions:

Delete a booking or a document

You can also delete a single booking or a single document without touching the rest of the trip. Open the booking or document and use its delete option. It moves to a trash you can view and restore from within the app for 30 days, after which it’s permanently purged — the same trash-and-restore mechanism used for trips.

Delete an expense

You can delete a single expense from its detail view. Unlike trips, bookings, and documents, deleting an expense is immediate and final from your perspective in the app — there’s no trash and no restore option. For internal data-security purposes only, the underlying record may be retained in our systems for up to 30 days after deletion before it’s purged; this isn’t a user-facing feature, and you can’t access, view, or restore it during that time.

What gets deleted, what’s kept, and when

Each item’s 30-day trash timer runs independently, starting when that specific item is deleted. It’s unrelated to any other item’s timer and unrelated to your account’s own deletion grace period, which is a separate mechanism described on our delete account page. You can have several trips, bookings, or documents in trash at the same time, each counting down on its own — there’s no setting to change any of these periods; they’re fixed.

No deletion happens on this website

This page doesn’t delete anything. Data can only be deleted from inside the app, as described above.
